Trinity grade ranges are a guide; teachers recommend the right level for each learner. Examination fees are paid separately to Trinity College London.

Act IV · Examinations

Trinity College London speech and drama exams

Trinity College London graded examinations give learners an internationally recognised measure of their progress, from Initial level through to Grade 8. Learners perform prepared pieces such as poems, prose and scenes, and talk about their work with the examiner. Seniors can also take Communication Skills examinations.

Exams are optional. Teachers recommend the right level for each learner and handle the entries. In the Johannesburg and Pretoria sessions, practical exams usually take place in September and October, with theory sessions in May and November. Exam fees are paid separately to Trinity College London.

Act V · Competition

Eisteddfod preparation

Eisteddfods give learners a real audience and written feedback from an adjudicator. We help each learner choose a piece that suits them, then rehearse it in class for voice, meaning and stage presence.

Intermediate and Senior learners enter every year, and we run the Confident Kids Eisteddfod at partner schools. It is a theatrical, supportive first taste of performing on a stage.
